Last night as I was laying in bed reading, I had a sudden vision where I saw God’s blessing over his anointed ones…His spoken and irrefutable WORD…standing strong and sturdy like a huge brick wall. Like literally..just this huge brick wall standing by itself in the open. While it was freestanding, you got the feeling it was utterly powerful and impenetrable. I knew it represented the blessing God has determined and spoken over His anointed ones.
Then I saw the devil, who appeared really wimpy by comparison, run up to the wall and start shooting little toy arrows at it. To tell you the truth, the absurdity of how it looked made me chuckle right there in my bed. And while the devil was utterly intent on fighting that wall, those little plastic arrows just kept bouncing back and hitting him right in the face. But he wasn’t even fazed by that, he just kept shooting almost in a blind panic… and they just kept bouncing back and hitting him in the face.
Now, I’m not trying to insinuate that the devil has no power at all, because he does. He is the prince of the powers of the air, afterall, and he’s been given authority over all the systems of the earth. He has real power to do evil and tremendous harm. And yet I believe this vision speaks to the spiritual reality behind the power differential. It speaks to the TRUTH, which is that his attacks are literally nothing but childish toys in comparison to the WORD OF GOD which says,
“no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17
Guys…if God has spoken something…if He’s decreed and declared blessing to His anointed ones…there is no devil in Hell or demon on earth that can touch it.

So let’s keep our hearts trained on the power of our God to overcome the devil’s attacks and establish His word in our lives, regardless of what plastic arrows get shot at it.
